Laying artificial grass onto permanent surfaces

One of the biggest advantages to laying an artificial lawn on top of timber decking or other surfaces such as concrete or paving (assuming it has been laid correctly in the first place). Is a level surface to work with, which is ideal for laying the grass.

However, the project still needs to be carried out professionally to ensure a quality finish. No gaps should be left between paving or decking planks prior to laying the artificial turf. Anything larger than a half an inch could risk the artificial grass sagging.

When using our team to carry out your project, we will ensure the surface is prepared correctly and that it is clean and free from any debris. Depending on the surface, we will leave drainage gaps around the perimeter. With concrete and paving surfaces they are less porous and rain water still needs somewhere to drain away.

Depending on your choose artificial grass it will be raised higher than the original decking or paving. Therefore it may be necessary to add a simple border to finish of the project avoiding any slips or trips.
